PROJECT: Lazika Sculpture, Georgia
The one hundred meter long Lazika Pier with its 31 meter high landmark sculpture is one of the first structures to mark the beginning of the development of the new metropolis Lazika located on the Black Sea coast. The sculpture consists of 330 tons full welding connected structural steel. DESA scope covers engineering, procurement, fabrication management, design coordination and site execution works. The architectural office that created the sculpture is J. Mayer H. Architects, and the structural concept belongs to Knippers Helbig GmbH. The client for the work was the State Construction Company LTD, the work has been done in four months and the contractor is Metal Yapi Eng&Const.
